Stanborough students are celebrating an outstanding set of A Level and BTEC results. In a year where many A Level subjects have been changed to a more demanding linear format, the number of students achieving A*- B grades at A Level is at an almost record level.
Notable student performances include Thomas Pink with 4 A* at A Level who has accepted a place at Cambridge University to read Mathematics, Scott Wilson with 2 A* and an A who is going to University College in London to read Biological Sciences, Joshua Hughes-Davies with 2 A* and a B grade who has been offered a place at Sussex University to read English, Tasha Ormrod and who achieved 2 A* grades and Leo Alder who got an A* and two A grades.
Peter Brown, Headteacher said ‘We are extremely proud of our students’ achievements this year. In a climate of examinations being made ever more difficult, our students have responded by getting some of the best results the school has seen at A Level. We are especially pleased to see so many top grades being achieved by our students. This is down to the effective partnership between student, teacher and parent. All have played their part magnificently.’
