Message from the Headteacher Mrs John
It was a pleasure to meet so many of our Year 9, 10 and 11 parents at the recent Key Stage 4 Information evening. Please do refer to the slides which can be found on the website as well as on our Twitter and Facebook pages.
A dedicated part of my day is spent in lessons and speaking to the students at break and lunch. I have been so touched by the warmth and welcome that they have shown me but also the confidence that they have shown in articulating how they feel about their school, the positives and areas of development. It has been a pleasure to see how focussed they are in lessons and the emphasis they are placing on the quality of their written work.
For us in Stanborough, our students are the centre of everything we do and we will ensure that we provide them with the very best education possible. I would like to thank you for the support as a new Headteacher and for working with me on ensuring the very highest standards in our provision for your children.
Once again, I would like to thank everyone who has made me feel so welcome at Stanborough. I am pleased to have met so many wonderful students and supportive parents in my two weeks and I hope to meet many more in the weeks that follow. Together I am sure we can continue to make our wonderful school even better.
Quote of the week:
If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” Martin Luther King Jr.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the time as a family.
