Fixtures
Basketball
It was a successful week for both the Year 7 and Year 8 basketball teams. Year 7 performed brilliantly in their 56-12 win over Hertswood. All players performed brilliantly, but the player of the match was David Manon Jorge, scoring 8 baskets! Well done David!
The Year 8 team also won their match against Hertswood by 20 points to 12. This was another excellent
performance by the team led by player of the match Tapi Zonda who scored 6 baskets! Well done Tapi!
Netball
The Year 10 netball team played a very close match against Queenswood. The lead kept changing from one team to another, with the girls eventually losing to a very narrow 14-12 score.
Student Achievements
Congratulations to Nathan, Year 9, who was presented with an award from Saracens Hertfordshire Men’s Cricket League for being the leading bowler in the Regional Division B East.
Nathan, who plays for Hatfield Hyde Cricket Club, took an amazing 22 wickets (including 2 fivers) with an average of 10.73 last season. This is quite an achievement in his first season in open age cricket as his opponents are typically adult players with many years of experience. Well done Nathan!
Congratulations to Jamie, Year 10, who has been invited to participate in the ProFutsal team who are heading off to the prestigious Costa Blanca Cup which takes place in Benidorm, Spain. Pro Futsal competes in the top division of the country at senior level so this is a great achievement, well done Jamie!
Archie, Year 9, recently took a tour to Mumbai, India, along with the rest of his Youth Chelsea FC team mates and we are pleased to say that they won the Premier League Tournament! Well done Archie!
