Sports Day 2019 Information for Parents
Stanborough Sports Days are on Tuesday 9th July and Wednesday 10th July.
Tuesday 9th July:
Years 7 and 9 come to school in PE kit. (They will need equipment and books for normal lessons in case of bad weather.) They will have Sports Day periods 1, 2, 3 and 4. Period 5 is normal lessons.
Years 8 and 10 have a normal day and are in NORMAL school uniform. School Finishes at normal time.
Wednesday 10th July:
Years 8 and 10 come to school in PE kit. (They will need equipment and books for normal lessons in case of bad weather.) They will have Sports Day periods 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Years 7 and 9 have a normal day and are in NORMAL school uniform.
Period 5 – all the school go over to Gosling to watch the relays for all Year Groups and the Year 9 and 10 long jump and high jump.
School finishes at normal time but students will be dismissed from Gosling Stadium.
In the event of poor weather the afternoon session at Gosling will not take place
and students will remain at school.
Please note ALL students are expected to participate in sports day in FULL PE kit, unless they have a medical condition that prevents them from doing so.
Students need to be aware of weather conditions for the day and bring appropriate items such as water & sun cream. Unfortunately we cannot cater for parents to watch inside Gosling Stadium on Wednesday 10th July, but parents are welcome to watch from outside the fencing area at the top of the banking – although be aware that the view is limited.
