Message from the Headteacher – Mrs John
We look forward to the first Parent Teacher Surgery for this academic year. This is one of three formal opportunities to meet with your child’s teachers. It is important to give parents the opportunity at an early stage in the year to discuss their child’s progress with subject teachers. I hope you find this afternoon informative. I am also looking forward to meeting with the families during this afternoon.
Extra-curricular trips and visits are important for enriching the experiences our students have at Stanborough. I am always so impressed with the extracurricular provision offered to our students. I’d like to thank the staff for organising visits but also thank our students for representing Stanborough in the best possible manner. You can read more about the recent trips in this edition of Stanborough Times.
Headteacher’s commendations for this week are:
Poppy King (Yr 7) involvement in all aspects of Stanborough life;
Kacy Moss (Yr. 8) for being a kind and considerate student who always does her best;
Emily Withers (Yr. 9) for work in the wider community with the Welwyn Hatfield Youth Council;
Michael Rodriguez (Yr. 10) for improved work ethic in lessons, particularly geography;
Amber Sharman (Yr. 11) for being a responsible citizen;
Mattia Salsi (Yr. 12) for outstanding academic progress as evidenced in his November Progress checks;
Louisa Byford (Yr. 13) for outstanding citizenship in supporting another student through mentoring them.
Quote of the week:
“You don’t need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people be inspired by how you deal with your imperfection” Mrs John
Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Mrs John
