Year 8
Year 8 is the time for students to consolidate knowledge in subjects from Year 7 and the time for students to immerse themselves in the vast number of extra curricular activities that the school has to offer, to grow and to develop both academically and in personal character.
It is crucial that Year 8 students build on academic progress from Year 7 and demonstrate an exceptional work ethic in all subject areas, coupled with the key principle of high expectations. High expectations in all lessons, around the school and even in the community.
The Year 8 tutor team work hard to help their tutees become exceptional individuals. They are an efficient pastoral team who have extensive experience of being tutors and are on hand throughout the year to offer support, advice and guidance during Year 8.
This is an important and exciting stage in school life for Year 8 students; we are here to ensure that they are making the right decisions and achieve the success that they deserve. As Year Leader, I am eager to see how they will perform in Year 8 having passed the challenges of transition and I am very keen to ensure that all students meet their full potential this academic year. The achievement of this goal is going to require full co-operation from all students, parents and guardians.
