Message from the Headteacher – Mrs John
Thank you to the students and staff for the opportunity to celebrate Christmas as a community. We have organised various festivities to celebrate the Christmas period such as Christmas cheer to the elderly and primary school students, Christmas market, and our wonderful Christmas dinner! We ended the term with the stunning Carol service too! What an amazing term it has been! Thank you to each and every one of you for making me feel so welcome and for supporting me in leading the community forward.
Headteacher’s commendations for this week are:
Maisy Buckingham (Yr. 7) for representing Stanborough School to visitors with a professional and friendly manner;
Scarlett Craft (Yr. 8) for always being a positive role model, achieving the highest number of positive points and showing fantastic commitment to House Drama;
Alfie Holton (Yr. 9) an excellent performance at the Music concert having only recently started working with the Music Department;
Ben Ferry (Yr. 10) for exceptional work ethic in all areas;
Abigail Fisher (Yr. 11) for making an outstanding contribution to the Compass ‘community’ and being a positive role model;
Harry Collison (Yr. 11) outstanding improvement in approach to learning and highest positive points in the Year Group;
Rhys Tutt (Yr. 12) for being awarded a prize by Lee Valley Karate Academy for being one of the ‘best’ instructors in Herts/Essex;
Joshua Wardle (Yr. 13) for continued excellence in his studies, being a superb ambassador for the school and his work on the Christmas Charity video.
