Stanborough School continues to go from strength to strength with this year’s results.
Headteacher Mrs John commented: “I would like to congratulate every single student for their achievement this year but also thank the staff for their tireless work in the last two years. Teaching is an incredibly rewarding and humbling career where we have an impact on young lives and shape their future. The results are a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of our students and staff but also the excellent partnership with parents and carers. We are very pleased as so many of our students have secured places on a wide range of courses at universities including the Russell Group as well as higher level apprenticeships. The students are a credit to our community and we wish them the very best as they embark on the next exciting stage of their career whether they are heading for university, apprenticeships, employment or taking a gap year.”
Notable student performances include Hannah Imafidon with 3 A* and 1 A grade, Callum Elliott with 3 A* grades, Joshua Wardle with 2 A* and 1 A grade, Louise Stokes with an A* and 2 A grades, Tawsif Chowdhury with an A* and 2 A grades, Tatiana Lwin with 4 A grades, Samira Lamrini with 3 A grades, Louise Knight, Hamzah Hussain and William Stringer with an A*, A and B grade.
Alfie Kerr has secured a place at University of Hull to study ‘War and Security Studies’ after achieving 3 B grades. He will be will be joining the British Army after completing the officers’ course at RMA Sandhurst. Alfie commented “I thank the staff at Stanborough for facilitating my education and allowing me to reach my full potential.”
Callum Elliott mentioned that he was delighted with his results and was looking forward to university life. He thanked the staff for all the support that they had given him in the last seven years of his time at Stanborough.
Head of Sixth form, Mr Maidment said: “I am delighted that so many students have maximised their potential which is a testament to their assiduous approach and resilience. I wish them every success in all their future endeavours.”
