Mrs E. Ahmad, Second in Business, Student Career Pathways and Enterprise Leader, writes:
As part of this years Dragons’ Apprentice challenge, Stanborough Saints, with the help of Mr Mason, were happy to hand over a cheque for £2272.93 to their allocated charity, Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline. This year’s efforts to raise money by the team of eleven Year 12 students has been a great learning journey both educationally and personally for all.
‘The team did their best to help promote the charity throughout the challenge, and they understood they would be making an invaluable financial contribution to help reduce domestic abuse and domestic violence in Hertfordshire. They even helped us secure a grant of £1000 from the Aviva Community Fund.’ Kevin Bates HDAH Fundraiser & Management Committee
‘Rather than focussing on individual performances, we would like to highlight that the whole team pulled through the challenge and turned into a high performing commercial function who have grown not only personally but as budding entrepreneurs.’ James King & George Hammond PayPoint PLC
